Well, obviously this "update" was not exactly what some of us were expecting.  However, reading between the lines, the fact that they went into so much detail about the NDA agreements, seems to be their way of letting us know that there is a whole lotta good stuff they wish they could tell us, but just can't.  Anyone else have some positive spin on this thing?  It beats the alternative.  :'(

It is not clear to me yet if there is also going to be an update shortly(next day or so) in addition to the Q&A or not. That is certaintly a possibility.

sorry but that Q&A blew!  There was more questions on our  minds then old info given to us weeks ago.  Come on MDMN there is info out there and a way to tell us we are almost done.  THEY MENTION TWO groups still in the race.  I thought we were past this already?

Can anyone explain why they wrote two groups and who would be the other?  I have not heard about another group in months.

anyone a little clarity please

I find it confusing as well.  On the other hand, I have never heard that any competing group had been dismissed.
I suppose that it makes sense that they would keep other groups around until this is signed..sealed..and delivered.

I believe there is still an update coming. Management has spoke of doing both. The Q/A was something that Greg wanted to do. The update I would imagine is coming from JJ. Kirk

Kirk,

I have also heard there may be an additional update coming, possibly in the form of a Business Wire PR.  I certainly hope that is the case as this update is about as pathetic as it gets.  They told us nothing we didn't already know and I hope Hand is incorrect in his assumption that "complete" to these guys is that the JV groups have all the information officially.

Brent .as much as I would love to agree with you after rereading this it is clear to me that JJ has kept 2 separate parties at the table which I think is extremely smart.. After last Nov. when JJ thought he has a deal and our partner walked he has learned the leverage game while negotiating. This part  "Further, all the above noted terms and conditions data has been accepted as "complete" by the respective Joint Venture parties" says to me  is a great Q and A and JJ is just about done..They mentioned the binding NDA before this above quote and still give me what I want to hear. I think we are extremely close and this tells me so..Kevin

8/4/09  MG's Medinah Notes:

1) Les is in the office.

2) Naked short developments...see articles in current news on this topic. Is naked shorting finally over?

3) The 2 groups referenced in the last Q&A are 2 competing consortiums.  Nothing has changed with that. The current lead consortium remains in front..and favorite to close a deal with Juan.

4) Persistant rumors about a shareholder update coming from Juan in the next day or two but unable to confirm so assume nothing this week.

5) Meetings continue in Chile.

6) Medinah vs Godwin suit still inactive.

Of course the lingering question is this...If a celebratory event took place about 6 weeks ago in Santiago, and that the event celebrated was the agreement between the main consortium why wasnt this considered a "material change" for Medinah?.....Even if they tried to word the agreement in contingent of the main JV partner figuring out all the sub agreements between its partners, there still is an agreement that was signed and is a "MATERIAL CHANGE".

First thing that jumps out at me..is the possiblity that Juan-who now has the Madre De Dios back..will do a JV with Apoquindo Minerals..with Bruce Turner already there with his plant. (Of course-Apoquindo's focus is copper at the moment.)

Note..we now have a direct tie in with Juan, Bruce Turner and Juan Villarzu..a.k.a King of Copper and the guy behind the original Hochschild offer to Medinah.

8/5/09  MG's Medinah Notes:

1) Rumors of big/important meetings in Chile.
2) Very interesting and unexpected news about Bruce Turner and Apoquindo Minerals
3) 8 million plus share day..nice!
4) Les hasn't snuck off to Chile yet.
5) Rumors about an update coming out seem to have been mostly put to bed.

This limited access board is not the b---h and moan board it is for information only. We have the regular board for that. Post what you hear or receive from management or so called sources. We can debate the information on the main board. Kirk
